Blackberry Torch Keyboard |

The portrait slide out keyboard configuration of the new Blackberry Torch provides improved screen area over previous models (except Storm and Storm 2 models). But the portrait keyboard design on the Torch does not increase the key size. As a current Blackberry user with average finger size I can attest that navigating the keys with a standard Blackberry model keyboard is somewhat cumbersome and I often hit the incorrect key. Having used many phones with slide out landscape keyboards it’s easy to become accustomed to having larger more tactile keys. Conclusion: If Blackberry is going to stop losing market share to its competitors they will need to consider alternate phone configurations to increase keyboard size.
