Leaked screenshots of the next version of the Blackberry OS reveal that RIM is adding support for homescreen widgets, video chat, and more. Current and older versions of the operating system have been icon-based and launch the application. Widgets give users access to some information without the need to open the application. This doesn't mean RIM is giving up on apps, as leaked screenshots show more attractive icons. Another feature that will be available on the new Blackberry OS is a Universal Inbox. This will bring messages from multiple sources such as Blackberry Messenger and email.
